With Sony, Activision, and now Microsoft raising the standard game price to $70 USD, gaming seems determined to get more expensive. With release following only three months later, we can expect a substantial amount of new info. According to the Xbox blog, Microsoft has committed to "tons of new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information" on offer for Starfield. The Starfield Direct showcase will air at 10 am PT on Jon Twitch and YouTube. We also got some interesting details in the Starfield release date trailer. Bethesda announced the delay in May 2022, saying that "The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them." From there, we expected Starfield in the first half of 2023, but its release date was punted once more with an official September date announcement. Its original release date was planned for November 11, 2022. Starfield will release on September 6, 2023.
